What God said to me

Be thoughtful and sincere in your requests. Yesterday you asked for wisdom and discernment. Last night you had to make a tough decision. This request is easy for Me to grant, but it will not make your life easier. Your responsibility will be greater. You will face challenging dilemmas. You may not always be unscathed.

What I said to God

Last night was tough. This morning, my heart is broken – not because of the decision I made (policies and ethics support the decision), but because the decision angered a dear friend. I guess I had the misconception that wisdom and discernment in decision-making would always lead to peace and unity among the stakeholders. I am confident with the decision. Where do I go from here with a damaged relationship?

Walk in My ways and keep My commands. I know that you desire wisdom and discernment as Solomon did. I have the power to grant your desires.

What I said to God

I seem to find myself more and more in positions where tough decisions must be made. Each time I have asked for Your guidance. Each time You have guided me through the decision-making process to solutions that promote peace and unity. You are God. Above You there is no other. Selah!
