Generously give. Firstly, give yourself to Me. Then, give generously of your time, talents, money, etc. in service to Me.

What I said to God

Do You have something in particular in mind this morning? If so, help me to know what it is. If Your Words are meant as general advisement, help me to discern those areas of service which are truly service to You. Guide me in the management of my time, talents, money, etc. that I might give to the most generous extent possible in service to You. I am Yours. Use me and all that You have given me.

Accept everyone without making judgment. You do not know when I might use the relationships you enter into to change a life. You can be an agent for change.

What I said to God

When I studied change agents in school I never considered how that might apply in terms of spiritual living. I am also reminded of our conversation from a few weeks ago about what, if anything, would be my contribution to this world. I guess I may never know. However, not knowing does not mean that I should not make myself available to You for You to use me in any way You choose to make whatever contribution You want to make. Here I am, Lord. Make me an agent of change for You.

Holy living AND contentment

Holy living plus contentment equals life.

What I said to God

I did not realize I was soooooo discontent. You keep mentioning it, though. And now You are tying contentment to the holy living You brought me to last week. What a powerful combination! Oh to become content with the material things I have to the point that I can separate myself from them, realizing that they are in no way necessary for life. You are life. You are all I need.

Okay. We talked about the house yesterday. Some days I find it easier to be content than others – not only about my house, but also about many other things including where our children live in respect to us. I want to be content with everything all the time. Keep working on me. J
