What God said to me | Are you aware of the things I have accomplished through you? Do you not realize I could do so much more through you than you allow? Do you have ambition? |
What I said to God | You seem to invoke the most reflection on the days that my brain is most tired. Your first question is perhaps the easiest to answer at the moment. The answer would be “no.” I have often thought it to be a shame that most people do not realize their influence (for good or bad) on others. It does make me pause to think that I should be better about letting others know how they have positively influenced my life and express my appreciation more freely. As for Your second question, I do not believe that I understand the fullness of Your power to work through me. I want to learn. I just wonder if my faith will not be stretched in the process. And ambition? I floundered for years trying to find my niche in life. When I thought I had finally found it, my world fell apart. Now I am back in flounder mode. I say I want to know Your plan for my life, but do I really? I believe I am afraid that being where You want me to be will set me up for more heartache. I follow You more cautiously than I used to because of the pain from years ago. It has often been said that time heals all wounds. Perhaps there has been healing, but the scar is still big and tender. Give me grace to find Your way. |
