What God said to me

Sometimes My children act like stubborn brats – the more I call them to Me,  the further they try to get from Me. I have loved them and taught them many things, yet they do not realize it is I. I refuse to give up on them. I choose not to lash out in anger at them. They will return to Me. When you encounter them, you love them too.

What I said to God

I have been “them,” perhaps not to the extent about which Hosea wrote, but there have been times that I have chosen to ignore Your call and do my own thing. Forgive my impetuous behavior. Forgive my trivialization of Jesus’ sacrifice for me. Thank You for never giving up on me. I love You.
