What God said to me | Everyone is affected by sin. Just as Adam’s sin affected the whole world, your sin affects others. Your sin may or may not have as profound an impact as Adam’s sin, but it certainly always affects more than you. |
What I said to God | Thank you for the reminder. Your words today remind me of a song I used to sing as a child and then again as a mom of small children. “O be careful little eyes what you see…O be careful little ears what you hear…O be careful little hands what you do…O be careful little feet where you go…O be careful little mouth what you say.” Though the song only mentions being careful because You are lovingly watching me, I know that seeing, hearing, doing, going, and saying imply interaction with something or someone else. Truly, “no man is an island” (John Donne, 1624). |
