What God said to me

Imitate Jesus. Make His attitude your attitude. Be humble. Though you are My child, do not act as though you are better than those who are not. Allow Me to work through you to show My love to everyone.

What I said to God

Imitate Jesus? Wow…You don’t ask much, do You? Imitating Jesus sounds simple  enough, but the doing is daunting. I can easily love those who seem to love me; those who are kind and gentle. Loving hateful, angry, mean people is not so easy. Fortunately for me, the impossible can become possible when I practice the things You have been talking to me about. Suddenly, my imitating Jesus becomes more about my yielding everything to You. Through Your eyes, I can see beyond the hate, the anger, and the meanness to the circumstances and pain that have caused it all. When You are in control I can love others as You have loved me because You have loved me. Help me to see others  through Your eyes.
